Spanish Online Program

2024 - 2025 Academic School Year

Students and Parents,

Spanish I and Spanish II will be offered this school year.  Courses will begin on January 6, 2025 and will end on May 5, 2025.  Please read the following information carefully as it includes information on how to enroll in a Spanish course. Please also review the “Frequently Asked Questions” which follow this letter for answers to many of the questions you may have about the program.

Each Spanish course contains a total of 10 units which are “released” at certain intervals throughout the time frame of the course.  All communication regarding Spanish classes will occur through Bay Path email with Mrs. Donovan, the Online Spanish Teacher/Monitor.

Upon submitting the online enrollment form, you will be enrolled in your chosen Spanish course.  At the closing of registration, please allow at least one week for Mrs. Donovan to create the classes and generate each student’s Username and Password information within the learning platform. All accounts must be entered manually; it is not an automatic process. Mrs. Donovan will send an email to your Bay Path email address with your login information when the classes become active.

The Spanish online courses will be the responsibility of the student.  Responsibility is a key component to success in an online class and you must be “present” online to keep up with assignments.  Students must complete the online assignments on time in order to receive full credit for completion. There will be due dates tied to the assignments.  Units must be completed by the due dates assigned to stay on track within the program.  The courses themselves are self-directed and you may work at your own pace to complete the units by their due dates.  Students must log in to the program and check their Bay Path email at least once a week to keep up with assignments, announcements, and information about the course.

The  edmentum logo software program requires more than a cell phone or a tablet to complete all parts of the lessons. The software includes audio, video, and interactive tutorials. Students must have speakers, a word-processing program, and be able to fully run the software in order to participate in the program. **A laptop or computer is the best resource to access your course. It does NOT run fully on an i-Pad, tablet or cell phone.**

Please see additional information below for details on how to enroll in an online Spanish course and review some “Frequently Asked Questions” about the program.
