Scalp Care, Shampooing and Conditioning

Students will be able to demonstrate the appropriate draping for a basic shampoo service, analyze the hair and scalp through pre-brushing techniques, and select appropriate products for the hair’s condition.  They will clean and condition the hair properly to prepare for desired service while safeguarding the client by continually monitoring the water temperature and then rinse hair and scalp thoroughly.

To perform a hair and scalp treatment, students will first identify and differentiate between various scalp treatments.  They will perform treatment according to hair and scalp condition and be able to demonstrate various scalp massage techniques.
