Dental Assisting
What is Dental Assisting?
The dental assisting program is an exciting option for a career in dental assisting or providing a foundation for advancement in the dental health professions. Combining the use of assessing, planning, and implementing quality care for the dental patient with the use of state-of-the-art technology in our cutting-edge dental facility. This experience will prepare the students for externships and co-op in the local dental community, evolving into proficient clinicians, improving success for employability.
Upon graduation the dental assisting student can achieve:
OSHA 10-hour card: Healthcare Industry
CPR/BLS certification for the healthcare provider
Registered as a Formally Trained Dental Assistant in Massachusetts
Certificates of knowledge-based competency for passing the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB®) Infection Control Exam (ICE®) and Radiation Health and Safety (RHS®)
