Class of 2020: Anna Israelian

Advanced Manufacturing

Back to Advanced Manufacturing

While Anna was a student at Bay Path RVTHS, she learned many valuable skills that allowed her to be where she is today.  Being a student in the Advanced Manufacturing Technologies trade at Bay Path, Anna became proficient in manual machining, blueprint reading, metrology, and much more.  While learning in her shop and related classes, she also attended SkillsUSA with her classmate Lilly.  While at SkillsUSA, they achieved 3rd place at the State competition in the Epilog laser sector where they designed and fabricated a trophy by cutting and engraving specific materials.  Additionally, while being a student at Bay Path, Anna developed a passion for designing, building, wiring, and operating her own robots.  She was able to express her passion through Bay Path’s Robotics Team that competes yearly at designated competitions around the country.  In her first competition during her Sophomore year, her team achieved 2nd place in an international Hockey Bots competition at Robo Games in Pleasanton, California.  After working hard in her academics and technical trade, Anna decided to continue her education at Quinsigamond community college in the Electronics Engineering Technology program with a Mechatronics focus.  As graduation came near, Anna received the department award in Electronics Engineering, a certification as a member of the honers society, and her Associates in Science.  Post graduation, Anna decided to continue her career at Martinez Measurements LLC in Glastonbury, CT, where she previously worked as a co-op student as a requirement for her college program.   With a passion for Robotics and a past engraved with the Electronics industry, a position revolving around precision and hands on experience is the most fitting place for Anna.  During her time at Martinez Measurements, she has now become an expert in strain gage applications and installations.   The strain gages that she installs on various components move on to a diverse group companies and industries to be tested for the stress imposed during specific activities.

As an Engineering Technician, she has the opportunity to get first hand experience in field service applications as well as experiencing many other positions in the Transportation industry, commonly delving into the Aerospace world on airframes and gas turbine engines.  Among the strain gage experience in the Aerospace industry, she is also very familiar with the Materials Test world and specific ASTM standards.  Being a graduate of the Advanced Manufacturing trade, Anna uses her metrology, precision, and inspection skills daily at her work, as well as much of the Electronics knowledge she gained in college.  Anna is an avid learner and is looking forward to all of the experiences and knowledge that she will gain in her position to extend and diversify her career.
