Starting Monday, September 11, 2023

Advanced manufacturing training is designed to equip individuals with the cutting-edge skills and expertise needed to thrive in modern manufacturing environments. Bay Path’s Advanced Manufacturing instructors, Mr. Tate Ostiguy and Stephan Zeveska, have designed a comprehensive training program in collaboration with local industry employers. This course will introduce topics such as milling, turning, CAD/CAM/CNC, blueprint reading, inspection, and additive manufacturing, enabling students to pursue rewarding careers in the high-tech manufacturing sector. In this course, students will be able to earn credentials such as MACWIC Level 1, NC3/Starrett PMI Ruler, Caliper, Micrometer, Onshape CAD Fundamentals, and OSHA 10. MACWIC Level 1 certification is recognized as pre-employment training by the manufacturing industry for entry-level works and is endorsed by Associated Industries of Massachusetts. Additionally, students will receive training and guidance in job application procedures, including resume building, and interviewing.

Tate Ostiguy has over 30 years in the Manufacturing field. His specialties range from Aerospace, Medical, Die Cast, and Automotive Restoration. Tate has been the Bay Path Machine Shop instructor since 1997.

Stephan is also a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute (B.S. in mechanical engineering/biomechanics) and Westfield State University (M.Ed. In Vocational Education) and enjoys delivering theory to Bay Path’s Advanced Manufacturing students.
