Massachusetts AFL-CIO Scholarship Award

Deadline: 12/19/2025
Criteria:   Be a senior in high school and take the Labor History Exam (Study Guide is available from the website.)
Note:   If you apply, be sure to tell your School Counselor, so we can register to proctor the exam
 

Big Y Scholarship

Deadline: 2/1/2026
Criteria:   High school seniors living in Massachusetts
 

Henry David Thoreau Foundation Scholarship

Deadline: 2/1/2026
Criteria:   Massachusetts high school seniors pursuing environmental studies 
Application:   Apply online at www.thoreauscholar.org   (Available October 15, 2025)
 

Hispanic Scholarship Fund

Deadline: 2/15/2026
Criteria: Open to students of all races who identify as being of  Hispanic Heritage; 3.0 GPA average or higher; submission of FAFSA
Application:   Apply online at https://www.hsf.net/scholarship (Available January 5, 2026)

Mark Bavis Leadership Foundation

Deadline: 3/15/2026
Criteria:   The scholarship is available to any high school student in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It is awarded on the basis of need, and is not academically based. Note:   The Foundation will give more serious consideration to those students who have made efforts to make a difference in their communities and/or have shown leadership qualities within their school or community.

Paul D. O'Reilly Award

Deadline: 6/1/2026
Criteria:   Senior in Metal Fabrication at Bay Path, interested in pursuing a career in welding after graduation
Note:  Mr. Paul O’Reilly was a master welder who once took a class here at Bay Path.  While studying here, he asked the instructor to see the equipment we have in our Metal Fab program.    He was very pleased with Bay Path and all that we do for our students.   His family is providing this Tool Award in his memory to an outstanding senior from our Metal Fab program who is looking to pursue a career in welding after high school.    Recipients will be nominated by their welding instructors.
